I have homeowners insurance, so why do I need a AFC Home Warranty?
Home insurance covers the emergency's in life, usually associated with fire, wind, water, and so forth. If your roof blows off or pipes explode and flood an entire floor you'll need to have a insurance policy in place to cover those damages. What if it's hot outside and the A/C system breaks. Are you able to afford a costly repair with today's times? If you have a home warranty from AFC Home Warranty you won't have to worry about being in this situation. With a complete home warranty you can have the peace of mind that "we have you covered".
Another way that homeowner's insurance and home warranties are different is a homeowner's insurance policy carries a deductible and has variable rates. For example, you may have a $1,000 deductible on your homeowner's insurance policy which means that in the event of a covered claim you would have to pay $1,000 out of pocket before the insurance company would begin paying for damages. Also, your rates could increase from one policy term to the next. Typically after filing a claim, or multiple claims, your insurance premiums will increase to some extent.
AFC home warranty, however, does not carry a deductible but only a service charge of $60.00 when a service professional comes to your home. For example, let's say your hot water heater breaks due to normal wear and tear and you file a claim with your home warranty company. You will be required to pay the stated service charge on your contract at the time of service for the repair person's visit. However, when covered, your home warranty company would then pay the remaining costs to replace or repair the hot water heater.

How can you customize AFC plans?
AFC Home Warranty offers various plans, many options and premium coverage to customize a package to fit your needs. Call one of our representative at 1-866-242-0629 and let them customize a plan just for you. Not everyone needs the same level of coverage and you will not pay for what you don't need with AFC.

Is there a claims limit?
Unlike most home warranty's that only give you protection for one year and if you have a claim during that time will cancel you. We at AFC Home Warranty have unlimited number of repairs. We have the highest limits of liability in the market place of $7500.00. Most companies have a cap of $2500.00 to $3000.00 limit.

Is there a deductible?
NO
You only pay a $60.00 service call fee per claim, no matter what the actual cost of the repair or replacement for your covered item. You pay this to the technician that we send to your home. The service fee does go down $10.00 every year that you are with us and do not have a claim. an inspection prior to qualifying?

Does a home warranty require an inspection prior to qualifying?
No. We do not require a home inspection to qualify for a AFC Home Warranty policy. You do have a 30 day waiting period before the policy activates.br />

I have older applicanes are they still be covered?
Yes. AFC Home Warranty will cover your home systems and appliance despite their age. If the items are unable to be repaired or replaced with the same model due to age the equivalent cash value of the item will be given.

How do I make a claim?
When a covered item breaks down, request service by calling 1-877-891-3845 to speak with a highly trained customer service representative. After your service request is received, one of our approved and insured contractors will contact you to schedule a time to diagnose your problem. A $60.00 trade service call fee, per trade, is due when the contractor arrives to diagnose the problem.

What if I need a repair?
Upon request for service the call 1-866-242-0629 and the Administrator will contract an Authorized Service center within eight (8) hours during normal business hours. The Authorized Service center will promptly contact You to schedule a mutually convenient appointment during normal business hours. Administrator will determine what repairs constituent an emergency (such as extreme weather conditions or uncontrolled water) and will make reasonable efforts to expedite emergency service.
